1. Short story: 1000 words maximum, first person, present tense.
This is an opportunity to give your story to a fictional character, which enables the writer to view their personal story from another perspective.
2. Personal essay: 1000 words, first person, present tense.
1000 words is 2 single-spaced pages or 4 double-spaced. For editing purposes please use double-spaced pages.
FORMAT: Microsoft Word.
THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR GETTING STARTED.
1. Time of day
2. Weather/season
3. Where your inside story takes place i.e., in one room, in the whole apartment or house.
4. What you love and hate about your environment and how it affects you emotionally.
5. Emotions: fear, anger, love, hate, hope, optimism, disappointment, dread, joy, anxiety, belief, gratitude.
6, In what way is lockdown making you think about what you want to change about yourself and the choices you make in the future?
7. Do you have a window where you live? What do you see from it? Let your mind travel.
8. Discoveries you have made, both positive and negative, about yourself and who you live with.
9. Does memory of the past play a part in your story?

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS:
These photographs must be new works made between March 15, 2020, and the ongoing present moment. The subject of these works can be anything that you feel describes your experience of living inside during the pandemic. All images should be taken inside your living space. Although it can include views from your windows.
